Oakland Planning and Development Corporation (OPDC) partners with homeowners and landlords through our Residential Façade Grant Program to increase social and economic capital in Oakland.  The program restores historic character to our neighborhood’s homes, instills pride and strength in our community and catalyzes neighborhood investment and preservation. Façade improvements achieve several benefits, simply by enhancing a building’s exterior appearance. Not only do property values increase at the renovated building, but at adjacent properties as well.

Due to funding restrictions, OPDC’s Residential Façade Grant Program is currently available to residential property owners in West Oakland only. With a limit of $5,000 per grant, awardees receive a 1 to 1 match for an owner-occupied building, and a 1 to 2 match for a non-owner-occupied building.

For more information, contact OPDC at 412.621.7863 ext. 12 or email efisher@opdc.org.

This program is made possible through the generous support of McAuley Ministries.

hello just wanted to state how glad I am to see this program. For years i have been in need of some professional help for the out side of my home. So this grant is exciting to see. My only concern when viewing the grant information was obtaining a contractor to do the work. I have experienced the the greates out comes when hiring someone to work with me that I could trust. I was just wondering is their are a list of good contractors the program have worked with and have trusted to do a good and complete job. A company that knows their craft.
