Oakland 2025 is in its final stretch as the consultant team finalizes the plan recommendations. Using the extensive feedback and ideas from the community during our public design workshops and meetings last fall, the team  is speaking with additional stakeholders to better refine the strategies to be included in the final document. Throughout each step of the planning process, transportation improvements and economic development consistently proved to be top priorities for Oakland’s diverse community, and specialists in both fields are testing the feasibility of ideas to bring positive change in these areas. Finally, the team and the Oakland 2025 Steering Committee is sharing data and communicating with those working on other planning initiatives in the region, such as PlanPgh, Innovation Oakland, and Bus Rapid Transit.

We will engage the community and all stakeholders to review the draft plan during a series of workshops to be scheduled for later this spring.  We’ll post the details here once we have the schedule in place.  If you have any questions or comments, please email us at questions@opdc.org.
