Are you passionate about empowering communities? Join our team as an AmeriCorps VISTA Community Outreach and Engagement Coordinator and assist staff to strengthen relationships with residents and community partners.

As a Community Outreach and Engagement Coordinator, you will:

  • Assist community organizing staff with outreach and engagement to help inform the Oakland neighborhood master plan

  • Help connect residents to existing OPDC programs and services including our Financial Opportunity Center, an after school and weekend youth program, and the Oakland Community Land Trust (CLT)

  • Identify needs of the community and strengthen relationships with other programs and organizations that can benefit local residents

  • Collaborate with local community groups to increase their membership and create a sustainable network of engaged residents

Join us on June 7, 2019 for our fifth annual Evening of Oakland Storytelling -- OPDC’s signature fundraiser. Gather with friends and neighbors to experience views from The Oaklander Hotel’s top floor ballroom, enjoy delicious food and cocktails prepared by Chef Jessica Lewis, and explore different perspectives through a live storytelling program.
