Garbage Olympics

Announcing the fifth annual Pittsburgh Garbage Olympics!

Saturday, September 18, neighborhoods all across Pittsburgh will participate in a glorious competition to see who can get the most litter, debris, and garbage off our beloved city streets!

Each neighborhood will be organized into teams, and team captains will report the results from the two-hour cleanup to the Clean Pittsburgh Commission for final scores and judging.

To join the Oakland team, please email Andrea Boykowycz at aboykowycz@opdc.org or sign up online and choose “Central Oakland” from the dropdown menu.

OPDC is also currently looking for people interested in forming groups to maintain Adopt-a-Block routes throughout the year. Routes can be found here. For more information on Adopt-a-Block, please email volunteer@opdc.org.
