OPDC currently offers two programs that connect eligible Oakland homeowners with financial assistance to address critical home repairs. Read the descriptions below to see which program is best for your needs.

Eligible homeowners must:
Own and occupy their home as their primary residence
Be current on their property taxes or on a tax payment plan
Have current homeowners insurance
Income qualify (see specific guidelines)
Homeowner Assistance Program
Homeowners at or below 50% of the area median income are eligible to receive up to $30,000 for interior and exterior home repairs as a grant and deferred 0% interest loan. See the chart above for income qualifications. Funding is provided through the City of Pittsburgh Housing Opportunity Fund. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
OAKLAND FAÇADE GRANT PROGRAM (FOR OAKLAND RESIDENTS ONLY)
Oakland homeowners at or below 120% of the area median income are eligible to receive grants of up to $5,000 for exterior façade renovations. No match is required. See the chart above for income qualifications. Funding is provided through the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development Keystone Communities Program. OPDC is accepting applications on a rolling basis and funds will be awarded as available.
