Community advocacy and organizing
For over 40 years, OPDC has supported Oakland residents to secure safe and affordable housing, connect with resources and services to expand opportunities, improve their quality of life, and strengthen community.
Affordable Rental Housing
OPDC owns and manages a portfolio of 100 apartments in South and West Oakland, including Oakland Affordable Living, which was recognized for a 2019 Social Equity in Design Award by American Institute of Architects (AIA) Pittsburgh.
Planning and Design Review
We communicate with the public about development proposals and host public meetings to support community input in neighborhood investments.
Oakland Community Land Trust
OPDC administers the Oakland CLT, a program that develops homes for homeownership and ensures long-term affordability in the Oakland housing market.

Active Projects in Oakland
April 25, 2023: Chesterfield will be closed to put back the bricks and pour new sidewalks and curbs from the end of May until the end of August.
