Description
The University of Pittsburgh is proposing a 400-bed, new construction residence hall for first-year students, located at 4337 Fifth Ave, adjacent to the existing Music Building at the corner of Fifth & Bellefield.
Context
The project that previously planned on replacing the music building, now plans to wrap around the preexisting structure, replacing only the parking lot.
Status
The Pittsburgh Planning Commission approved the project on July 28th, and the university has begun preparing to start construction in August. The project is planned to be completed for the Fall semester of 2028.
